Frank Furness–designed Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts building

The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts' main historic building on Broad Street was designed by architects Frank Furness and George W. Hewitt and completed in 1876. That Furness/Hewitt building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is designated a National Historic Landmark for its distinctive architecture and its role in American art education. PAFA continues to operate both as an accredited art school and as a museum within the historic structure.
