Costurero de la Reina

The Costurero de la Reina, or Queen's Sewing Box, is a charming hexagonal building located in the gardens of the Palace of San Telmo, now part of Maria Luisa Park in Seville, Spain. Constructed in 1893, it is the oldest example of neomudéjar architecture in the city, featuring distinctive turrets and large windows inspired by Arabic design. Originally serving as a guard house and garden retreat for the Duke of Montpensier, the building is steeped in local legend, often associated with Queen María de las Mercedes, who is said to have spent time sewing there. Today, it functions as the Seville Tourist Information Office, welcoming visitors with operational hours from 9 AM to 7:30 PM on weekdays and 10 AM to 2 PM on weekends and holidays. The building underwent restoration in 2007, enhancing its structure and functionality, making it a delightful stop for tourists exploring the rich history and culture of Seville.
