Blessington House

Blessington House, built in 1673 in County Wicklow, Ireland, was a grand estate designed by architect Thomas Lucas. It featured a two-storied brick mansion with extensive gardens and a deer park, showcasing the architectural elegance of the period. The estate was established by Michael Boyle, the Archbishop of Dublin, who also founded the town of Blessington. Despite its initial grandeur, the house was destroyed during the 1798 Rebellion and was never rebuilt. Today, visitors can explore the remnants of its landscaping and the nearby St Mary's Church, which remains a historical landmark.
