Fasil Ghebbi

Fasil Ghebbi is a historic fortress located in Gondar, Ethiopia, founded in the 17th century by Emperor Fasilides as the royal residence for Ethiopian emperors. This UNESCO World Heritage Site showcases a unique blend of architectural styles influenced by Portuguese, Hindu, and Arab designs. The complex includes several notable structures such as Fasilides' castle, Iyasu I's palace, and three churches, all surrounded by a 900-meter-long curtain wall with twelve gates.
