The Parthenon as Nashville's full-scale replica art gallery

The Parthenon in Centennial Park is a full-scale replica of the Athenian Parthenon built for the 1897 Tennessee Centennial Exposition and now functions as an art museum. Its gallery spaces house a permanent collection of 19th- and 20th-century American paintings and host temporary exhibitions. The building also contains a large indoor statue of Athena that is part of the museum's displays.
