YMCA–Democrat Building

The YMCA–Democrat Building is a historic commercial structure located at East Capitol and Scott Streets in downtown Little Rock, Arkansas. Constructed in 1904, this three-story masonry building features brick with molded stone trim and showcases restrained Renaissance Revival designs, although some original features have been altered over time. Initially serving as the local YMCA, it later became the headquarters for the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, a prominent newspaper in the state. The building was recognized for its historical significance and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992, making it an interesting site for tourists and researchers alike.
