West Point Light Station (Discovery Park)

The West Point Light Station was established in 1881 on the point now within Discovery Park and the existing light structure dates to the 19th century. The site served as a navigational aid for vessels entering Elliott Bay and remains an identifiable historic maritime structure on Seattle's shore. The lighthouse and surrounding grounds are publicly accessible within Discovery Park.
