The Kreeger Museum - Philip Johnson–designed modern art house

The Kreeger Museum occupies a building in Foxhall Village designed by architect Philip Johnson and houses the private modern and contemporary art collection of David and Carmen Kreeger. The couple established the museum as a nonprofit and opened it to the public in 1994. The site combines a purpose-built exhibition building and the Kreegers’ former residence, and it offers guided tours and public programs interpreting the collection and architecture.
