Hezekiah Alexander House (oldest surviving home in Mecklenburg County)

The Hezekiah Alexander House, built about 1774, is the oldest surviving residence in Mecklenburg County and is operated as a historic house museum. It was the home of Hezekiah Alexander, an 18th-century landowner whose family occupied the house for generations. The site interprets colonial-era domestic life and early Mecklenburg County architecture.
