Granite Mansion

Granite Mansion was a historic house in Newark, Delaware, built in 1844 in the Greek Revival style. This three-story stone building featured a flat roof and a rear kitchen wing. In 1924, it underwent renovations that introduced Neoclassical elements, including a two-tiered Corinthian porch and a Doric Porte-Cochere. The property also included a small spring house and a frame building from the same year. Although the mansion has been demolished, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983 and is now the site of the First Presbyterian Church of Newark, making it a point of interest for visitors and researchers alike.
