Emily and Stephen Schumacher House

The Emilie and Stephen Schumacher House, located in St. Peter, Minnesota, is a historic residence built in 1887 in the Queen Anne architectural style. Designed by local architect Henry Gerlach for merchant Stephen Schumacher, the house showcases intricate design elements typical of the era. After sustaining significant damage during the 1998 Comfrey–St. Peter tornado, it underwent a meticulous restoration with the help of the Minnesota Historical Society. The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2000, making it a notable attraction for tourists and researchers interested in local history and architecture.
