Assassination of Malcolm X at the Audubon Ballroom

On February 21, 1965, Malcolm X was shot and killed while preparing to speak at the Audubon Ballroom in Manhattan. Three members of the Nation of Islam were convicted in connection with the assassination; one was apprehended at the scene and later admitted participation.
