Hughes-Cunningham House

The Hughes-Cunningham House, also known as 'HuCuRu,' is a historic home located near Hedgesville in Berkeley County, West Virginia. Built in 1772, this two-story log house features a stone foundation and a distinctive gable roof. An additional stone wing was added around 1784, enhancing its architectural significance. The house was recognized for its historical value and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. Unfortunately, it suffered significant damage from a fire in 2017, making it a poignant site for those interested in history and preservation.
