Chase Headquarters Building

The Chase Headquarters Building, located in Waterbury, Connecticut, is an architectural gem designed by renowned architect Cass Gilbert in 1916. This Renaissance-inspired structure, commissioned by the Chase Brass and Copper Company, features distinctive Adamesque designs and high-quality materials, including intricate iron and bronze work by Samuel Yellin. Noteworthy elements include a stunning curved staircase and elaborate plaster ceilings, with a stained-glass window quoting Abraham Lincoln. After serving as a corporate headquarters, the building was sold to preservationists and is now known as the Chase Municipal Building, housing city offices and contributing to Waterbury's Cass Gilbert Historical District.
