Capa House

Capa House, located in the Lindenau quarter of Leipzig, Germany, is a historic building named after renowned war photographer Robert Capa. It is famously known as the site where Capa captured 'The Picture of the Last Man to Die,' depicting U.S. soldier Raymond J. Bowman shortly before the end of World War II in Europe. The house, built between 1909 and 1910, has undergone significant preservation efforts since the late 1990s, culminating in the reopening of the Capa-House Memorial Site in 2023. This site now serves as an exhibition and event space dedicated to Capa and his partner Gerda Taro, highlighting their contributions to war photography.
