Pollokshaws Burgh Hall

Pollokshaws Burgh Hall is a historic municipal building located at the edge of Pollok Country Park in Glasgow, Scotland. Commissioned by Sir John Stirling Maxwell in 1898, this Category A listed building showcases Scottish Renaissance architecture designed by Robert Rowand Anderson. The hall served as the headquarters for Pollokshaws Burgh Council until its annexation by Glasgow in 1912 and has since been a community center and venue for events, including concerts featuring a Wurlitzer organ. Visitors can admire its unique asymmetrical design and the prominent tower reminiscent of the old Glasgow College.
