Judge Building

The Judge Building, originally known as the Goelet Building, is a historic ten-story structure located at 110 Fifth Avenue in Manhattan's Flatiron District. Completed in 1888 and designed by the renowned architectural firm McKim, Mead, and White, it was named after Judge magazine, which was published there. The building has a rich history, including an expansion in 1889 and hosting the first doll exhibition in the U.S. in 1890. Notable tenants included Gianni Bettini, a pioneer in musical recordings, and various printing firms. In the mid-1980s, the building underwent restoration, preserving its architectural integrity while updating its features. Today, it serves primarily as an office space for the New York Times Company, making it a point of interest for both tourists and researchers exploring New York's architectural and cultural history.
