Janet Echelman's "Her Secret Is Patience" (Civic Space Park)

Janet Echelman's "Her Secret Is Patience" is a large suspended fiber sculpture installed above Civic Space Park in downtown Phoenix in 2009. The work uses braided fiber netting and nighttime illumination to form a flowing, cloud-like canopy over the park's plaza. It is one of the city's most visible permanent public artworks and was commissioned as part of downtown public space improvements.
