University Hall was a notable multi-purpose arena located on the University of Virginia Grounds in Charlottesville, Virginia, with a seating capacity of 8,457. Opened in 1965, it served as a venue for various events, including basketball games, until its demolition in 2019. The arena was characterized by its circular design and distinctive ribbed concrete roof, featuring blue and orange seating. It was home to the university's men's and women's basketball teams until replaced by the John Paul Jones Arena in 2006. The final game ceremonies included memorable moments with UVA legend Ralph Sampson, who made the last baskets in a celebratory event.
