Ice Box (arena)

The Ice Box is a vibrant multi-purpose arena located on the University of Nebraska–Lincoln campus in Lincoln, Nebraska, with a capacity of 4,212. Originally built in 1951 as a livestock arena, it transformed into the home of the Lincoln Stars hockey team in 1996, achieving remarkable attendance and a reputation for having the best atmosphere in the USHL. The arena also hosts events for the No Coast Roller Derby league and has been used for concerts and student activities. While the Ice Box is leased to the Stars until 2031, plans for its future include potential redevelopment into mixed-use or research facilities.
