Rådhusstræde 1 is a historic Neoclassical building located in the Old Town of Copenhagen, Denmark, at the corner of Rådhusstræde and Brolæggerstræde. Originally constructed in 1797 by master carpenter Andreas Hallander, it was part of the city's reconstruction after the devastating fire of 1795. The building underwent significant renovations in 1851, enhancing its architectural appeal. Notable former residents include influential figures such as politician Christian Colbjørnsen and composer W.H.R.R. Giedde. Today, the basement houses Posthusteatret, a unique venue that combines theatre and art cinema, making it a cultural hub for visitors and locals alike.
