Cyclorama Building (Boston Center for the Arts)

Built in 1884 as a circular exhibition space to display panoramic 'cyclorama' paintings, the Cyclorama building is an uncommon surviving example of 19th-century panorama architecture. The brick rotunda originally housed large-scale panoramic artworks (including displays of the Battle of Gettysburg) and later accommodated various industrial and cultural uses. Today it is part of the Boston Center for the Arts and contains galleries and performance spaces.
