Wickersham House (Fairbanks, Alaska)

The Wickersham House is a historic house museum located in Pioneer Park, Fairbanks, Alaska. Built in 1904 for prominent Alaskan politician James Wickersham, it was the first frame house in Fairbanks and featured unique elements such as a wooden sidewalk and picket fence. Designated as a state landmark in 1966, the house was saved from demolition and relocated to Alaskaland park in 1967. Now operated by the Tanana-Yukon Historical Society, it offers visitors a glimpse into early 20th-century Alaskan history and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.
