St John's Hall, Penzance

St John's Hall is a historic municipal building located in Penzance, Cornwall, England. Opened in 1867, this Grade II listed structure was designed in the neoclassical style by John Matthews and served as the headquarters for the Penzance Borough Council. The complex features a grand assembly hall and was originally intended to house a geological museum. Over the years, it has hosted significant events, including a speech by suffragette Helen Beedy. Today, after extensive renovations, it serves as a public library and offices for Cornwall Council, while also being a focal point for local celebrations such as St Piran's Day and the Golowan Festival.
