Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center (Guadalupe Theater)

The Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center, founded in 1980 and based at the Guadalupe Theater, presents and preserves Mexican American performing arts in San Antonio's West Side. The center programs regular live music in styles such as mariachi and conjunto, hosts festivals and concerts, and runs community music education initiatives supporting local and regional musicians. It is a longstanding institution for Chicano and Tejano cultural expression in the city.
