Savoy Hotel, Malmö

Hotel Savoy is a historic hotel located in Malmö, Sweden, directly opposite Malmö Central Station. Originally established as an inn in medieval times, it evolved into a hotel in 1862, initially named Hotel Svera, and later Hotel Horn. Renamed in 1902 after the famous Savoy Hotel in London, it underwent significant renovations in 1912, enhancing its facilities for the Baltic Exhibition of 1914. Notably, the hotel is recognized for hosting Vladimir Lenin during his journey back to Petrograd in 1917. The Savoy has also been featured in literature and film, including the book and movie 'Murder at the Savoy.'
