Mountain Lake Colony House

The Mountain Lake Colony House, also known as the Mountain Lake Club House, is a historic Mediterranean Revival structure located in Lake Wales, Florida. Designed by renowned landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted Jr. in 1916, this three-story clubhouse features charming architectural elements such as pergolas, loggias, and a distinctive barrel-tile roof. Nestled on the north shore of Mountain Lake, it is part of the Mountain Lake Estates Historic District and was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places on February 22, 1991, making it a notable destination for tourists and researchers interested in early 20th-century architecture and history.
