Ivy Lodge

Ivy Lodge is a historic house located in the Wister neighborhood of Germantown, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This architectural gem, added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972, was originally home to John Jay Smith, a notable figure in Philadelphia's history. Designed in the Italianate style by an English architect and later improved by Thomas Ustick Walter, the two-story ashlar granite dwelling features distinctive elements such as a hipped roof with bracketed eaves and semi-circular arched dormers, making it a fascinating site for tourists and researchers interested in American architectural history.
