Magnolia Grove (Greensboro, Alabama)

Magnolia Grove is a historic Greek Revival mansion located in Greensboro, Alabama, surrounded by a beautiful 15-acre grove of Southern magnolias. Built in 1840 for Isaac and Sarah Croom, the mansion showcases stunning architectural features, including a monumental hexastyle portico with Doric columns. It has been a significant site since its addition to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973 and now operates as a historic house museum. The estate is notable for its connection to Richmond Pearson Hobson, a naval hero and influential politician, who was honored posthumously with a destroyer named after him.
