Follmer, Clogg and Company Umbrella Factory

The Follmer, Clogg and Company Umbrella Factory, also known as the Van Sciver Building, is a historic site located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Constructed between 1880 and 1905, this U-shaped brick complex spans approximately 144 by 250 feet. It originally served as a manufacturing hub for umbrellas and parachutes until the 1940s. In 1944, it transitioned to a furniture store and warehouse under J.B. Van Sciver Co. until 1982. The building was recognized for its historical significance and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986, making it an interesting stop for tourists and researchers alike.
