Kensington Plantation House

Kensington Plantation House, located near Eastover, South Carolina, is a historic plantation built between 1851 and 1854 for Colonel Richard Singleton. This significant site reflects the complex history of the region, having been home to hundreds of enslaved individuals and later tenant farmers. The mansion, designed with inspiration from French architecture, features a unique cruciform layout and 29 rooms. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1971 and restored in the 1980s.
