Dallas Burn (MLS) inaugural home at the Cotton Bowl

The Dallas Burn, an original Major League Soccer franchise founded in 1996 and later rebranded as FC Dallas, played its home matches at the Cotton Bowl from 1996 through 2002. The team hosted MLS regular-season and playoff games at the stadium before relocating home matches to other venues and eventually to its current stadium in Frisco. The Burn's time at the Cotton Bowl is part of Dallas's soccer history.
