Eastwood by the Lake

Eastwood By The Lake is a historic condominium and apartment building located in the Uptown neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. Originally built in 1912 by architect John Augustus Nyden, it is recognized as the oldest residential hotel constructed in Chicago during the twentieth century. The building features 25 balconies, a lounging room, and a rooftop ballroom, all designed to enhance the experience of its proximity to Clarendon Avenue Beach. With its unique kitchenettes and fireproof construction, Eastwood By The Lake underwent renovations in the 2000s and remains a notable landmark across from the Louis A. Weiss Memorial Hospital.
