National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum

The National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum, opened in 1955, is located in northeast Oklahoma City and is dedicated to preserving Western art and artifacts. The museum houses the Hall of Great Westerners and the Hall of Great Western Performers. It hosts the annual Western Heritage Awards and serves as a major cultural institution for the city and region.
