Angebilt Building

The Angebilt Building, originally the Angebilt Hotel, is a historic 11-story structure located in downtown Orlando, Florida. Designed by architect Murray S. King, it opened its doors on March 14, 1923, featuring 250 rooms. Despite early financial struggles, including bankruptcy shortly after opening, the hotel became a notable landmark, hosting events and surviving the Great Depression. Over the years, it faced challenges, including a significant fire in 1983 that led to extensive renovations. Today, the building has been repurposed into office spaces, with vibrant bars and retail shops on the ground floor, making it a unique destination for tourists and researchers interested in Orlando's architectural history.
