Burg Považská Bystrica

Burg Považská Bystrica is a historic manor-house located beneath the Považský hrad castle in Slovakia. Commissioned by Simon Balassa, construction began in the early 17th century and was completed in 1631, marking the family's relocation from the castle. The last private owner, baroness Popper, contributed to its restoration until it became state property in 1919 after World War I. The manor is notable for its gothic header joist, which was relocated from the nearby castle, making it a point of interest for both tourists and researchers exploring Slovak history and architecture.
