Union Station Hotel and depot lore

Union Station, originally a Romanesque railroad depot completed in 1900, was converted into a hotel and is a designated historic landmark on Nashville’s downtown riverfront. Local lore and various tours recount reports from employees and visitors of unexplained sounds and sensations in the building’s public spaces and rooms, often linked to its long history as a busy transportation hub. These accounts are included in regional ghost-tour itineraries and local articles but are anecdotal and debated. Union Station remains an active hotel and event space housed in the former train station.
