Utkina Dacha

Utkina Dacha is an intriguing 18th-century architectural ensemble located in St. Petersburg, where the Okkervil and Okhta rivers converge. This historical site, recognized in the Russian cultural heritage register, has a rich past, originally owned by Swedish colonel Okkervil and later by notable figures such as general Andrey Ushakov and the Poltoratsky family, who were influential in the opera scene. The estate is linked to famous personalities, including poet Alexander Pushkin, who sought the hand of Anna Olenina, a descendant of the Poltoratsky family. Today, Utkina Dacha serves as a branch of a museum, offering visitors a glimpse into its storied history and architectural significance, despite its current state of neglect.
