Houston Cotton Exchange Building

The Houston Cotton Exchange Building, constructed in 1884 and located in Downtown Houston, is a historic landmark listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Designed by architect Eugene Heiner, this three-story structure was remodeled in 1907 to include a fourth floor. It served as the hub for the Houston Cotton Exchange until 1924, when operations moved to a new location. The building was later restored by John Hannah and Jesse Edmundson, III in 1973, earning recognition for its preservation efforts. Today, it stands as a testament to Houston's rich trading history and architectural heritage.
