Jones–Pestle Farmstead

The Jones–Pestle Farmstead, located at 339 Bridge Street in Waitsfield, Vermont, is a historic farm complex dating back to the 1820s. This well-preserved 19th-century site features a main house with a Greek Revival entrance, a horse barn, and one of the oldest English barns in the region. Established by early settler Daniel Thayer, the farm remained in the Jones family for over a century before being acquired by the Pestles, who raised dairy cattle until 1966. The farmstead offers a glimpse into Vermont's agricultural history and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2015.
