The Brown Palace Hotel - Empire Room and big-band performances

The Brown Palace Hotel & Spa at 321 17th St opened in 1892 and throughout the 20th century hosted big-band, cabaret, and popular-music performances in its Empire Room and ballrooms. The hotel's downtown performance spaces were important venues for touring and local entertainers and form part of Denver's documented history of public musical entertainment. The Brown Palace continues to be associated with musical events and special concerts in the city.
