Klyde Warren Park (park built over freeway)

Klyde Warren Park opened in 2012 as a 5.2-acre public park constructed over the Woodall Rodgers Freeway, connecting Uptown and downtown Dallas. Its deck-park design and regular public events have generated numerous widely shared photographs and social-media posts showcasing people on the lawn above the freeway; these images are sometimes used in internet posts and memes about urban design or Dallas city life. The park is operated by the Klyde Warren Park Conservancy and hosts daily programming that contributes to its online visibility.
