San Fernando Cathedral

San Fernando Cathedral, whose parish was founded in 1731 and whose current building incorporates 18th- and 19th-century construction, is one of the oldest cathedrals in the United States. It anchors Main Plaza in downtown San Antonio and has been a focal point for civic and religious events for centuries. Since 2012 the cathedral façade has hosted a nightly public light show titled 'San Antonio | The Saga' that presents local history.
