The Orcutt Ranch Horticulture Center, located in the West Hills of Los Angeles, California, is a historic site that was once the vacation estate of oil pioneer William Warren Orcutt. Established in 1917, the ranch features a stunning blend of Spanish Colonial and Mission Revival architecture, with a residence completed in 1926 that includes unique design elements such as bas-relief Swastika decorations chosen for their Native American significance. The 24-acre site, designated as a Historic-Cultural Monument, boasts extensive gardens, ancient oak trees, and exotic plants, making it a serene destination for visitors. Operated by the Los Angeles Recreation and Parks Department, the center is available for special events and offers public fruit picking, providing a glimpse into California's agricultural heritage.
