Grand Army of the Republic Memorial Hall (Ironton, Ohio)

The Grand Army of the Republic Memorial Hall, constructed in 1892 in Ironton, Ohio, is a notable historic site designed by architect Joseph W. Yost in the Richardsonian Romanesque style. Originally serving as a memorial and meeting hall for veterans of the Civil War, it later housed the American Legion and functioned as Ironton's city hall. After years of neglect, efforts were made to restore the building, which was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2012. However, demolition began in 2014, marking the end of its historical presence.
