Luther Clegg House

The Luther Clegg House, built around 1850, is a notable example of Greek Revival architecture located near Pittsboro, North Carolina. This historic two-story dwelling features a low hipped roof and end chimneys, and it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. The property includes several outbuildings such as a carriage house, old kitchen, and remnants of a family vineyard. Despite the devastation of Hurricane Fran in 1996, which uprooted numerous trees on the property, the house and its structures remained unharmed. The house was in the Clegg family until 2002, making it a significant site for those interested in local history and architecture.
