Kadı Menteş Mansion

Kadı Menteş Mansion, located in the Selimiye quarter of North Nicosia, is a historic building with roots dating back to 1329. Originally built as the Latin Archbishopric Palace during the Lusignan rule, it underwent significant renovations in the early 16th century and later became the residence of the qadi of Cyprus under Ottoman rule. The mansion features a Gothic southern entrance gate adorned with coats of arms and showcases a blend of architectural styles, including Ottoman elements on its upper floor. The site has served various educational purposes over the centuries and is now the headquarters of the Turkish Cypriot Union of Municipalities, making it a notable landmark for both tourists and researchers interested in the rich history of Cyprus.
