The Dr. Havilah Beardsley House, built in 1848, is a stunning example of Italianate architecture located in Elkhart, Indiana. This historic two-story brick dwelling features a charming gable roof, an inviting full-width front porch adorned with Ionic columns, and decorative brackets. As the former residence of Havilah Beardsley, the founder of Elkhart, the house now serves as a museum within the Ruthmere Mansion complex, offering visitors a glimpse into the city's rich history. Recognized for its historical significance, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2000 and is situated in the picturesque Beardsley Avenue Historic District.
