Binfield Place

Binfield Place is a historic Grade II* listed country house located on the western edge of Binfield, Berkshire. This remarkable building, possibly the oldest in the parish, features elements from the early 16th century, originally constructed by Robert Sampson, a notable figure in the court of Henry VII. Visitors can admire the striking 18th-century Gothic window and the preserved 17th-century interior, which includes intricate panelling and original beams. A unique feature of the house is the 'Luck of Binfield,' a bas-relief believed to bring a curse upon any owner who removes it. The property also boasts a Grade II listed gateway, adding to its historical charm.
