Frank B. Hopewell House

The Frank B. Hopewell House, located at 301 Waverley Avenue in Newton, Massachusetts, is a stunning example of early 20th century Colonial Revival architecture. Designed by Boston architect George H. Sidebottom and completed in 1919, this large 3+1⁄2-story brick building is recognized as the most intact and best preserved of its kind in the city. Originally built for Frank Hopewell, a prominent figure in the manufacturing industry, the house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1990. In 2022, it was purchased by Ashish Chugh, a hedge fund manager, adding to its intriguing history that includes previous ownership by Ahmed Zaki Yamani, a notable former Saudi Arabian minister and OPEC leader.
